100th Post: ArtBeets, Why Not?

Since we were talking about numbers and specific numbers seem to be important and since the publishers of Making Handmade Books wanted one hundred in the title, I thought I would point out that this is my one hundredth post. In fact, to celebrate, I will make it only one hundred words.

What occurred to me the other day, when I asked myself why I was doing something odd was, “why not?” No good reason not to. So “why not” is both a good answer and a good question.

Thanks for reading. Your comments charge me up.
More to come…

I teach at a small college in western MA and at the end of a semester, after all the major projects are due, there is a two week lull and then classes end. So I decided one year to have the students make transfer prints, and then make a drumleaf book from them. It was a small exchange between classmates, only six in the edition. One student asked me why we were doing it, and I said, "Why not" And as a result of that conversation, the exchange book's title was designated "Why Not". Maybe I'll write a bit more about it on my blog and link to your blog, too.
