Video: Critical Opalescence (Tears)

It's Sunday, video day. And today's video is the second of Critical Opalescence, the art-by-mail subscription I created in 2004 that featured three kinds of water: Ice, Tears, and Ocean, and true stories that seemed too coincidental to be believable. "Critical opalescence" is a term that describes when water is neither a liquid nor a gas, but creates a shimmering sparkle, somewhere in between. I still love the sound of the words together.

There's no hiding from it, though: Tears begins by acknowledging loss and grief in a gentle and poetic way, which leads to a rainy walk, and a process to begin healing and moving forward.
