We were a little adrift in 2006. We had moved out of our house to redo it and were living in an apartment not too far away. And we got very sick that summer.
I didn't have full access to my press, but I was able to set two poems and print them on painted paper, creating the artist book, Driftwood & Roots. The drive to make it were thoughts of the old house, the new house, the memory in the walls, the stuff being thrown out, my struggles with the garden, and what the future might bring us. It might feel familiar.
