I installed my tree art at the Albany library on July 2 and it will be up until July 31, 2023. Why trees? It seemed a natural evolution from my bird art to look into their homes. Not all birds live in trees, of course, but such is the nature of tangents. The tree-related art dates back to 2004, but most was created in the past three years, and I have blogged about nearly all of it (this blog dates back to about 2010).
I dedicate this exhibit to Judith Tannenbaum (1947-2019), much-loved writer and teacher, activist, friend, and occasional walking buddy. It was she who introduced me to the SF Bay trail walk, now a weekly walk for me. The last time I spoke with her I asked her what she was interested in, and she said, "Trees!" May her memory be for a blessing.
