Art Quilt: Unspoken

Sometimes there are things one will not say. That one cannot say. That one didn’t say. That are now too late to say. To a friend, a family member, an acquaintance, someone else. Would you have said those words, those sentences, if you could have? I am thinking of my late father. The words unspoken.

Another quilt where I bought nothing. It was already there in bags and drawers. I cleaned up the studio and found remnants I had saved “for something.” This.

The white pieces are cutouts from a previously stenciled quilt Melt Away.
I was a little sorry to cut them up. But I can remake them for future, if I need to.
The hummingbirds were leftover from The Gift Givers.
