A friend has organized an art sale to benefit immigrant families via Multicultural Institute at La Peña, 3105 Shattuck Ave in Berkeley, CA, Sunday May 31, 2026 from 2-5pm, and I have donated four prints to the event. Over one hundred artists donated their prints, photos, and works on paper with more than 300 pieces total being sold in a range from $15 to $200. Something for everyone! And some great participants.
The Multicultural Institute's website (linked above) says that it "addresses the issue of economic inequity" through housing advocacy and job training and placement as well as health referrals and clinics and other important services. My friend says if you cannot make it to the sale you can always donate directly, and if you do, please say it's for the Art Without Borders art sale.
