Sound in Visions: Music Is the Muse exhibit at ACCI Gallery

It's a little bit rock 'n roll over there in the ACCI Gallery right now. Large bright canvases of musicians with scrollwork collages tucked in, some artfully woven violin bows, jewelry with soundwave patterns, and more in the Sound in Visions: Music Is the Muse exhibit. I suppose one might get a hint from the poster, which is also a painted work by Mats Stromberg.

The exhibit space is small, within the larger gallery and shop. And the walls are packed.

"Gently Weeps," my art quilt, is over in the corner on the right, next to a larger black and white piece. I like curation of the black and white pieces, all next to one another.

Of course I love this guitar/uke with bird on it by Vineeta Chand. I have many glass and mosaic pieces of hers in my tiny collection. And I bought another while I was there.

I guess I was attracted to the quieter, birdier pieces.
Top: "Alice's Swallow Song March - Right" by Karen Mason; Middle: "Summertime and the Living Is Easy" by Joan Gallagher; Bottom: "Alice's Swallow Song March - Left" by Karen Mason

And these blue ones. Top: "Waveform" by Goran Konjevod; Bottom: "Musical Man in Black Opening a Portal" by Rocky Angel.

Left: "Woven Bows Triptych" by Rachel Leibman; Right: "Harmonic Tension" by DAHLO

A fun display of jewelry by Riquelle Small of Oakland

Over here! Here I am! In the corner!
